The fine art of Mary Gillis includes paintings, sculpture, drawings, prints, collage, mixed media art, and photo collage.  Large scale sculpture commissions include steel sculpture, fountain sculpture, granite and glass sculpture.  Recent paintings, such as the Great Lakes Series,  are comprised of oil and polyurethane on aluminum with glass.

Mary Gillis holds a BFA degree from Pratt Institute in New York and an MA degree from New York University, including study at Il Centro Internazionale delle Arti e del Costume, Palazzo Grassi,  in Venice, Italy.  She is a recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Grant for painting.

Numerous commissions and exhibitions have earned her international recognition.
